Effects of child abuse
Sexual abuse can effect the child way after their childhood. You can say that sexual abuse kills the child's childhood. Do to the fact that the child will lose a huge amount of trust in others. They also suffer from the feeling of guilt and self- abusive behavior. The sexual abuse can lead to depression, antisocial behavior, identity confusion lost in self esteem, or could even have worse emotional problems, such as suicidal thoughts. Later on in life child sexual abuse can lead to difficulty in intimate relationships.
How will you know?
When sexual abuse occurs the victim may be the only witness to it. In some cases the assaulter sometimes tells the victim that if they tell anybody then they will kill the child or another loved one. The sexual abuse case can sometimes be hard to prove because of the fact that the first indicator doesn't have to be physical but it could also be changing the child's abnormal behavior. It is hard to tell weather the child's statement is true or not.
